The Grateful Life Family Foundation wants to build safe homes for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and VET's. However, all of our workshops are provided at Lake Waldensia by Trauma Specialists to help people from all walks of life that are imprisoned by PTSD, anxiety, dissociation, and so much more. TGLFF is a safe environment which fosters music, art, creativity, wellness and educational programs to unlock the restorative force within all individuals. In essence we are helping humans be better people, through education, self-discover, and growth. Serving others in any capacity builds self-worth.

What is GLFF?
The Grateful Life Family Foundation is a 501c3 in the state of Tennessee that offers transitional housing and mentoring for people in need. We are a community outreach facility for at risk populations.

Why are we needed?
  • Each year, the loss of joy and love in the world is experienced by many wonderful people who are marginalized by emotional trauma and withdraw their input from our lives. We all suffer as a result of their ongoing loss.
  • The joy and love that withers in the face of isolation and separation can be easily restored.
  • Our planet is hurting and increasing the awareness of how to love the earth and live with it and not just on it will relieve the pain our home is enduring and help us love one another and our home, bringing harmony and resonance to our planet and its people.

What do we offer?
It is essential to build a connection to community and “family”. Adults and children are in need of structure, stability, healing, life skills assistance, and a sense of home and family. with the Foster Care human Trafficking approximately 60% of the population that they serve we believe that it is better option to provide therapeutic placements for families as they work through their generational curses and work toward reunification if possible. We assist populations in weekly creative arts therapy group sessions, conscious retreats, one-on-one mentoring, and much more!

What about Community Outreach?
In addition to the ongoing programs at the center, we strive to go out into the community and make a difference. Currently we are collecting the resources needed to launch a little library series in rural areas, as well as collect second-hand technology for lower income students to further their studies. You can be sure to find us at Rockwood's monthly meeting's and town events. We are collaborating with a few local custom shops to mutually benefit the community. In need of some produce? Call us and we will see if we can drop off a care package from our harvest in the garden!

Our Ancestors
Our ancestors lived and died on this land and we have dedicated ourselve to the preservstion and restoration of it in honor of their time and energy. Miners, Railroaders and sawyers all poured out their souls to live on this land and when they left after World War l the first resort in Cumberland County was built here with the blood swea and tears of another community.

Cabins
There were upwards of 50 cabins on the property at one time and in those years between the mining & timber operations, and the closing of the resort in 1955, Lake Waldensia was a common recreation destination.

Restoring the land
We are working almost nonstop now to restore land and the grounds to a recreation destination as it once was in the 1940's and fifties and are also working to have Lake Waldensia added to the National Registry of Historic Places.Membership in the Friends of Lake Waldensia is included with your initial donation of just $11 for day use. Hiking and Mountain biking adventures are found on over 900,000 acres of public land wilderness adjacent to our 372 acres where your base camp is.

We offer...
We offer members primitive camping and fully self contained RV's and Travel Trailers (for the time being) while developing our center by so given in order to and their. In essence we will find the proverbial, "missing chord", and join the universal choir in harmony as universal citizens. Our foundation is dedicated to finding resonance and harmony in all things. We theorize that prior to self awareness, there was nothing. Nothingness gave birth to the original spark, or vibration, reaction, or action of an omniscient and supreme entity, all things originated here. All things in our physical universe are interrelated and interdependent in their effects on all other things. This common origin was, and is, the unifying force that connects us with all other aspects of our reality. Our interactions with and responses to input from the universe determines our path thru life. Resonance with, or living our lives in harmony with the universe results in a more perfect life, manifesting love for, and the sharing with, others.

Goals attained
This goal, once attained will have changed the world, one mind at a time. We are dedicated to this goal, as "The Grateful Life Family Foundation" at our center, "Transfarmnation Station" and strive to be a catalyst for many of the changes our planet needs to re-establish harmony between our planet with the universe. We further theorize that creative energies can sustain, maintain and restore harmonic resonance and the good vibrations we create will fill the earth with good vibrations and bring the an Aquarian age to the collective consciousness and restore the original perfection and unity in all.

Our Programs
Our programs are all designed with the intent of finding a better way of doing almost everything. The core philosophy is a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship with our our planet and all it's inhabitants. Although we do hold the value of all life most high, we also respect the choices of individual lifestyles and neither forbid or exclude individuals based on choices in diet, or requirements of meeting those needs. Hunting and trapping are ongoing activities on 10's of thousands of wilderness acres surrounding our center. This is a supplementary food source to many, and we do not condemn hunting for food, however firearms of any kind will not be allowed on Transfarmnation Station.

We welcome all honest hearted seekers of harmony and resonance to explore our center as a visitor, guest volunteer or as a resident steward and staff member. Follow the link below for details on our programs and requirements for participation.

Our center is open to the public by appointment only, so please communicate your desire to visit and confirm available dates with our
